The introduction of secondary air downstream of the throttle valve allows the engine control system to compensate for non-linearities; of title typical of a carburettor system.
The SAS (Secondary Air Source) valve is; controlled by the control unit through the use of a linear interpolation dimensioned plane having 16 break points as a function of engine rpm and 8 break points as a function of engine temperature.
The management of the SAS valve reduces polluting emissions and optimizes engine performance under all conditions of use.
